This is an awesome walkthrough of creating different style kick drum sounds in NI Massive. Everything about it is absolutely brilliant. The concepts, the sound design and how it is presented. Truly a must watch!

It’s really easy to load up a nice sample, or perhaps default to using a preset from your favorite collection when it comes to the drums in your projects. But with NI Massive there is absolutely no reason, when you could maintain complete control of the size, shape and development of your bass drums (as well as the rest of your percussive instruments). This video tutorial from YouTube user TheDeltaDeep gets deep into the mechanics and theories behind this elusive side of sound design within the synth world. He deserves a big round of applause and some support for taking the time to share his methods, a few secrets AND the presets featured in the tutorial.
