For a more consistent tone with Arps in Massive, check Restart Via Gate

Massive isn’t the most intuitive synthesizer for creating arpeggiated sequences. However, you can use a Stepper in an LFO tab to create the Noir and Hayze Angel arp in Massive.

If you haven’t heard the original track, check it out: Noir and Hayze Angel

If you want to learn a little bit more on how to create arps in Massive, check out this tutorial: Creating a 32 Step Arp in Massive

After setting up the wavetables in the oscillators, Johnny goes to the LFO5 slot and converts into a Stepper. Then he takes the crosshair for LFO5 and drags it to every active oscillator’s pitch box. Make sure you drag up the modulated pitch up to 12.

To get the exact sound of the Angel arp in Massive, you have to make sure you have the proper sequence of notes set up in the LFO5 Stepper. To achieve a minor sounding sequence set up the Stepper to 12, 7 and 3. Those numbers represent minor note values in a scalar sense. To make the sound more plucky, like the original, Johnny also uses a Performance slot in LFO6 and modulates the cut off frequency of the Filter 1.
